Privacy policy
How CementCalc handles data, cookies and advertising. Plain language, no legalese padding.
Quick answer
Information we collect
Calculator inputs — not collected. Every tool on this site is client-side JavaScript. The dimensions, prices and material choices you enter stay on your device and are discarded when you leave the page.
Usage analytics. Google Analytics records anonymized data such as pages viewed, approximate region, device type, referring site and time on page. We use it to see which calculators are useful, not to identify individuals.
Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for security and reliability.
Cookies and advertising
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to cementcalc.com and other sites.
You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the calculators keep working either way.
Affiliate links to retailers may pass a referral identifier so a purchase can be attributed to this site. See our affiliate disclosure.
Your choices and rights
Because we hold no accounts and no personal profiles, there is normally nothing for us to export or delete. If you are in the EEA, UK or California and want to ask about data associated with your visits, email us through the contact page and we will respond. Analytics and advertising data held by Google is governed by Google's own privacy policy.
Children's privacy
This site is aimed at contractors and homeowners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If our data practices change — a new analytics tool or ad network, for example — we will update this page. Continued use of CementCalc after an update means you accept the revised policy.
